BLACK FALCON have made it two overall wins in a row in the VLN at the seventh race of the 2018 season, having also taken victory at their last outing in the headline SP9 class at VLN5. An inspired strategy and hard driving from the drivers of its Mercedes-AMG GT3 completed a successful day at the Nürburgring for the team in SP9, which was backed up by also taking class victory in the hard-fought SP10 class for GT4 machinery.

BLACK FALCON has closed its second season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany with a good team result. During the seventh race weekend at the Hockenheimring, Carlos Rivas scored the eighth victory of the season in the amateur classification, while Tim Zimmermann moved up from 13th on the grid to an outstanding sixth place overall.

BLACK FALCON scored an impressive second place overall with their Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the second race of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup finale at the Nürburgring. It was mission accomplished for the team, as over the weekend BLACK FALCON’s drivers scored vital points in their pursuit of the combined Silver Cup championship, which takes results from both the Sprint and Endurance Cup elements of the series. This means BLACK FALCON driver Hubert Haupt heads to the final Endurance Cup round needing just a handful of points to secure the title.

Following on from BLACK FALCON’s successful debut in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup at Round 4 in Hungary, the team will now compete in the series finale, which takes place at the famous Nürburgring circuit in Germany this weekend. The Sprint Cup showdown is being held at BLACK FALCON’s home track: the team is based just across from the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the famous long-distance extension that links onto the Grand Prix layout that will be used by the Sprint Cup.
