VLN Endurance Championship – Race Report Round 3
At the third VLN race at the Nürburgring, BLACK FALCON achieved the third place overall as well as two more top-10 results with the Mercedes-AMG GT3s. In the SP10 class, the Meuspath team again triumphed with the AMG GT4 with further podiums with the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR II in the SP7 class, an AMG GT4 in the SP8T class and a Porsche 991 Carrera in the V6 class. BLACK FALCON thus achieved a podium finish in all classes in which the team had entered the third VLN race.
VLN Endurance Championship – Preview Report Round 3
BLACK FALCON will compete in the third race of the 2019 VLN Endurance Championship season at the Nürburgring with a large line-up: Three Mercedes-AMG GT3, three Mercedes-AMG GT4, one Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MR II as well as two Porsche 991 Carrera will start at the last VLN race before the 24 hour race for the team from Meuspath. An AMG GT3 and an AMG GT4 will also celebrate a premiere within the framework of this major event. At the third VLN race, the vehicles will be wearing the colours of the new BLACK FALCON main sponsor AM Solutions for the first time.
Blancpain GT Series – Race Report Round 1, Monza
Team BLACK FALCON has scored an excellent overall Pro podium plus second place in Silver Cup at the dramatic opening round of the 2019 season, held at the iconic Monza race track in Italy. The three-hour race was held in challenging weather conditions that tested the drivers to their maximum, but the team’s two Mercedes-AMG GT3, their drivers and all the mechanics put in superlative performances to deliver strong results that set the team up for the season ahead.
VLN Endurance Championship – Race Report Round 2
The second race of the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring had to be interrupted after 15 minutes due to snowfall. A rising snow front forced the organizers to cancel the 44th DMV 4-hour race for good. Until then the event went very well for BLACK FALCON: Dominik Baumann (Austria), Adam Christodoulou (Great Britain) and Thomas Jäger positioned the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in ninth place in the strong overall classification. The IDENTICA Mercedes-AMG GT4 of Tobias Müller (Germany), Tim Scheerbarth (Germany) and Tristan Viidas (Estonia) started from pole position in the SP10 class after a good performance in qualifying. In the SP8T class Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (Turkey), Ace Robey (USA) and double starter Tristan Viidas also achieved the fastest practice time and started from pole. Directly behind them, Christoph Hoffmann (Germany), Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, who also did a double start, and Norbert Schneider (Germany) finished second in class in the KNUFFI-Mercedes-AMG GT4. In the SP7 class, Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands), Peter Ludwig (USA) and "Takis" (Switzerland) also placed the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR II in second place in its first race of the season. In the V6 class for production cars, Alexander Akimenkov (Russia), Ronny Lethmate (Germany) and Vasilii Selivanov (Russia) were on course for pole position for a long time, but shortly before the end of the session they were pushed into second place on the grid. Their teammates in the sister car, Martin Meenen (Germany), Carsten Palluth (Germany), Carlos Rivas (Luxembourg) and Tobias Wahl (Germany) set the fourth fastest time.
VLN Endurance Championship - Preview Round 2
At the second round of the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring BLACK FALCON races with seven cars. The team from Meuspath at the Nürburgring will be competing with one Mercedes-AMG GT3, three AMG GT4 and two Porsche 991 Carrera. Additionally, for the first time this season, the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup MRII will be racing.
