It was a premiere for BLACK FALCON at the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany season opener in Hockenheim. During two spectacular races on the 4,574 kilometer long track, the German squad based in Meuspath (Eifel) managed to score their first points in the championship and even finished on the podium in the amateur trophy.
For the first time in Black Falcons eleven-year history the Meuspath based racing team will participate in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. A total of three Porsche 991 GT3 Cup cars are ready to race at Hockenheim this weekend. The cars will be driven by last years runner-up Christian Engelhart, Garbiele Piana and Carlos Rivas.
The second race of the 2017 VLN championship has concluded, with six of Team BLACK FALCON’s seven entries completing the gruelling four-hour event, bringing home three class podiums whilst only just missing out on the overall top three. The crew of the #6 Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 put in a superlative performance across the four hours and 28 lap race, with a maximum attack attitude that saw them come so close to spraying champagne at race end, and the BLACK FALCON Team TMD Friction V6-class 911s and SP10 Cayman added to the team’s already impressive trophy cabinet.
Team BLACK FALCON brought home seven of its eight cars in the opening round of the 2017 VLN series, which featured a massive 187 entries. After four hours of racing and just a single retirement, the team’s results included two class podiums and important points finishes that will all count as the year progresses.
