Exciting projects, new partnerships and collaborations in 2024
Thanks to the long-standing cooperation with BILSTEIN, EAE and Eibach as well as new partnerships with Losch Luxembourg, RAVENOL, FALKEN and Four Motors, BLACK FALCON is starting the 2024 season at full speed. Both the proven and the new partnerships signal the team's consistent further development towards sustainability in motorsport. With various new additions and many regular drivers, BLACK FALCON is starting on two vehicle brands in up to five different classes.
Race car EVOlution: Team BILSTEIN by BLACK FALCON
In 2024, the BILSTEIN racing team will take the next step in its development. With a new racing car, new partners and a new driver, the successful squad is entering the season. The big goal remains the infamous 24-hour race at the legendary Nürburgring - perhaps the biggest challenge for man and material in international racing.
In addition, Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Alvarez Brown and Misha Charoudin will switch from their beloved G20 BMW 330i to a BMW M4 GT4. A special surprise for many Nürburgring fans is the signing of 24-hour overall winner Manuel Metzger, who will not only be the fourth driver but also the coach. Metzger, who already became VLN overall champion with BLACK FALCON in 2011 and 24h overall winner in 2016, is making his comeback to the BILSTEIN by BLACK FALCON team after several years out of racing due to injury.
Losch Luxembourg enters motorsport with BLACK FALCON
With great ambitions, Losch Luxembourg is entering the world of motorsport and, with BLACK FALCON as a partner, is relying on many years of experience and numerous successes in various international racing series. In 2024, BLACK FALCON Team 48 Losch will compete in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) with a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup with the number 148.
Three talented drivers will take turns at the wheel of the Losch-branded Porsche: Luxembourg driver Steve Jans, active in motorsport since 2012 and successful on the Nordschleife and in international GT racing, among others. Noah Nagelsdiek, who is already tackling his third season in the PETN as a regular BLACK FALCON driver. Last but not least, Tobias Müller, one of the fastest Nordschleife drivers, who has already celebrated numerous successes with Team BLACK FALCON since 2019.
Thanks to this stellar driver line-up, Losch and BLACK FALCON are focussing on this year's championship in the PETN CUP2 class. Successful participation in the ADAC RAVENOL 24h race is also at the top of the agenda for BLACK FALCON Team 48 Losch.
Team BLACK FALCON is once again targeting Pro-Am success in the Cup 2 class
With the experienced and well-established driver trio consisting of Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana and Mike Stursberg, BLACK FALCON, together with partner EAE, is planning another attack on the Pro-Am championship in the Cup 2 class of the PETN. The Pro-Am title was already celebrated in the inaugural 2022 PETN season, and in 2023 Kaya finished runner-up after an injury-related break. Due to a clash of dates with racing pro Gabriele Piana, double starter Tobias Müller will replace the Italian at the wheel of the newly designed Porsche 911 GT3 Cup with start number 103 at the first NLS weekend.
Two more BMWs with all-American line-up
After initial test drives with BLACK FALCON at the winter tests in Portimao, US-Americans Alexandru Vasilescu, Ryan Harrison and Will Wachs start their first racing season with Team BLACK FALCON. In the NLS 1 and 2, Harrison and Wachs will start with the BMW 330i #503 in the VT2 class. At the ADAC 24h Qualifiers and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Race Nürburgring, a second BMW M4 GT4 with the number 180 will then replace the 330i and compete in the SP10 class of cars according to SRO GT4 regulations. In addition to Vasilescu, US racing professional Michael "Mike" Skeen will join the BMW M4 driver line-up for the 24-hour race at the latest.
Kick-off for the future: Four Motors and BLACK FALCON launch long-term partnership
From the first race on 6 April, BLACK FALCON will take over the technical preparation of the Four Motors cars and will also provide personnel and logistical support for the races. Together, the two teams will enter up to nine vehicles in up to six different classes in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) races and the 24-hour race this year.
The green pioneers and the multiple VLN overall winners are not only aiming for a technical partnership, but also a strategic one. This co-operation underlines the commitment of both teams to future-oriented and sustainable development in motorsport and promises exciting racing moments for the fans.
Alexander Böhm, Team Principal and Managing Director of BLACK FALCON:
"Looking to the future, we at BLACK FALCON are focussing on innovative partnerships that drive us forward. The new and established alliances symbolise our determination to set standards not only on the track, but also in the area of sustainability.
