BLACK FALCON celebrates wins in NLS and takes podium finish in ADAC GT4 Germany

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA Porsche 992 GT3 Cup

BLACK FALCON achieved strong results in the first double event of the year. At the third round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), the team celebrated class victory in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) in the CUP2 class (Porsche 992 GT3 Cup class), a double victory in the AM classification of the CUP2 class, as well as second place in the SP10 class (GT4 cars). At the same time, the team competed in the season opener of the ADAC GT4 Germany at Oschersleben and finished on the podium in the Trophy classification in the first race.

Nürburgring Endurance Series - Round 3

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA celebrates dominant victory in the CUP2 class
After finishing second at the season opener and the postponement of the second NLS race due to weather conditions (new date: 05.11.2022), BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA celebrated the first win of the season in the CUP2 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring at the third NLS round. Paul Harkema and Tobias Müller started the race from fourth in class after a difficult qualifying session without a free lap. Starting driver Harkema gained two places already on the first lap before opening the chase on the leader. The team decided to make an early pit stop for tactical reasons, which put the IDENTICA Porsche 992 GT3 Cup (#102) in a perfect position for the rest of the race. After a strong double stint by Müller, Harkema climbed back into the cockpit for the final laps and eventually crossed the finish line as class winner in CUP2 with a lead of more than a minute.

Double victory in the AM classification of the CUP2 class
In the AM classification of the CUP2 class, BLACK FALCON celebrated the second double victory in a row. As in the first NLS race, the two BLACK FALCON Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars fought a close duel for the day's victory. Peter Ludwig, Noah Nagelsdiek and Maik Rosenberg took turns at the wheel of the number 103 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, while the number 104 sister car was driven by Ben Bünnagel, Mustafa Mehmet Kaya and Carlos Rivas. Over the course of the four-hour race distance, both teams were able to pull away from the competition in the AM standings, swapping positions several times on the track and during pit stops. In the end, Ludwig, Nagelsdiek and Rosenberg edged out Bünnagel, Kaya and Rivas by a narrow margin to celebrate their first win of the season in the AM classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring.

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR finishes second in SP10 after bizarre incident
BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR started in the SP10 class for cars in accordance with SRO GT4 regulations with a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Taking turns at the wheel of car number 161 were the SP10 class winners from NLS1, Marco Müller, Carsten Palluth and Tobias Wahl. The trio started the race strongly and were in a promising position before a bizarre incident during the first pit stop thwarted their second win of the season. A competitor from another class, who was in the pits at the same time as the #161, destroyed a fuel pump of the neighbouring garage when leaving his pit stop position, which automatically switched off the fuel pump of the BLACK FALCON pit. In order not to lose any more time, the team sent the TEXTAR Cayman back on track with less fuel than planned. Shortly before the end of the race, the team had to make an additional refuelling stop due to the lower refuelling quantity and thus dropped back to second place.

ADAC GT4 Germany - Race 1 & 2 at Oschersleben

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR with podium finish and strong performance
The BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR competed in the season opener of the ADAC GT4 Germany at Oschersleben. Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld raced the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with starting number 33 in the Trophy classification. In the first race on Saturday, the duo fought their way up from fourth in class to second in the Trophy standings with a strong performance, thus celebrating a successful start to the season. In the second race on Sunday, Sartingen and Schwerfeld defended their second starting position and initially crossed the finish line in second place in class. After the end of the race, however, the team received a 30-second penalty for a collision in the second half of the race, so that they were ultimately classified in fourth place in the Trophy standings.

Timo Frings, Head of Motorsport BLACK FALCON:
"Behind us lies a very successful weekend. We achieved an almost perfect result in the NLS - a big compliment to the entire team! Our drivers drove flawlessly and the strategy department put the cars in a very good position early in the race through clever tactical decisions. With the three Cup cars, we achieved the best possible result with victory in the CUP2 class and a double win in the AM classification of CUP2. With the Cayman, we would have celebrated the second win of the season in SP10 if it hadn't been for the fuel stop incident. I am very proud of our drivers and the entire crew!
The season opener in the ADAC GT4 Germany went well for us in general. Second place in the Trophy classification in the first race was the maximum after starting fourth. Unfortunately, the penalty in the second race cost us our second podium place. We will now analyse the weekend in detail and are already looking forward to the second race weekend at the Red Bull Ring."
