ADAC GT4 Germany - Season preview
BLACK FALCON will enter the ADAC GT4 Germany in the 2021 season. The BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR will compete in all 12 races of the season with a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 MR in the so-called "Trophy Classification". The Trophy Classification is specifically intended for drivers who have reached the age of 35 and have been classified by the FIA in the "Bronze" category. The mid-engine sports car with more than 400 hp will be driven by Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld. The two experienced drivers have already achieved a number of racing successes in GT3 and GT4 cars in the past. From the ADAC GT4 Germany, the veterans are particularly expecting exciting duels and a lot of driving fun with the light and agile 718 Cayman GT4 MR.
Timo Frings, Head of Motorsport BLACK FALCON:
"BLACK FALCON has already been running GT4 cars regularly in 24H Series races and on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife since the 2016 season. We have been quite successful in these events, including winning the GT4 (SP10) class three times in a row at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and also securing the GT4 championship title in the VLN in the 2019 season. This year we will be competing in a pure GT4 racing series for the first time. With Axel and Daniel, we have two fast drivers who want to attack in the Trophy classification from the first race. Axel can look back on several successful years in the Ferrari Challenge, while Daniel has, among other things, clinched numerous class victories on the Nordschleife, many of them with BLACK FALCON. We are very much looking forward to the new challenge and can hardly wait for the season opener at Oschersleben."
About the ADAC GT4 Germany
The ADAC GT4 Germany is aimed at aspiring young talents and ambitious racing amateurs. Drivers who have been classified in the Silver or Bronze category by the FIA, the world governing body for motorsport, are eligible to start.
All races will take place as part of the supporting programme of the ADAC GT Masters. There will be two races over the distance of one hour per weekend. Two drivers share the cockpit and swap over during a mandatory pit stop around the middle of the race.
A system of vehicle classification (Balance of Performance) ensures equal opportunities between the different vehicle concepts. Before the start of the season, a basic classification is determined, which is continuously checked during the season and adjusted if necessary.
Live broadcast
The ADAC GT4 Germany races can be watched live and for free on TVNOW (in future RTL +). Specific broadcasting information will follow in the run-up to the race weekends on BLACK FALCON's social media channels.
