In 2020, the team from Meuspath will participate for the 15th time in the desert marathon on the Arabian Peninsula, which will be held at the Dubai Autodrome on 10 and 11 January 2020. For the 2020 season opener, BLACK FALCON puts another fast and successful driver pairing on the grid: Khaled Al Qubaisi and Jeroen Bleekemolen won the race together with BLACK FALCON in 2012 and 2013, and in 2014 they finished third together with this year's team mate Hubert Haupt, before Haupt won the race in 2015 and 2018. This year, Al Qubaisi, Bleekemolen and Haupt share the cockpit with the internationally successful GT specialists Ben Barker and Manuel Metzger. Together with the team, they will reach for the fifth overall victory for BLACK FALCON at the 15th edition of the 24H Dubai.
The race: 15th anniversary promises full house
The 24H of Dubai has been held without interruption since 2006 and has become an integral part of the international GT calendar within a short period of time. For many teams, the race, which traditionally takes place at the beginning of January, has advanced to the annual season opener. This year, a grid of 74 cars will be racing on the 5.39 km long Grand Prix version of the Dubai Autodrome. Since the first edition of the race BLACK FALCON has been a permanent part of the event with various vehicles and reached multiple milestones in the team's history in Dubai. In 2012 BLACK FALCON celebrated its first overall victory in a 24-hour race in Dubai. One year later, the team successfully defended its first title at overall victory level. After two further victories in 2015 and 2018 BLACK FALCON is now the record winner of the desert marathon.
