VLN Round 3: Podium and lap record in SP7 as well as P3 in V6

BLACK FALCON has set an exclamation mark in the SP7 class at the third round of the VLN Endurance Championship. The team's Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR II set the fastest lap in the class since the speed limit was lifted at the beginning of 2016 and finished second. Another podium place went to the BLACK FALCON Porsche Cayman S in the V6 class.
In the SP7 class Jürgen Bleul, Manuel Metzger and "Takis" ensured an excellent result. With eleventh overall and second place in the class, the trio achieved the best result of the "Breitbau"-Porsche in the VLN season so far. As early as in qualifying, the car with the number 57 set the first exclamation mark when Manuel Metzger, as the fastest driver of a car outside the most powerful GT3 category, took pole position in the SP7. Bleul, Metzger and Takis made no mistakes in the race and fought for victory for a long time. In addition, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR II set the fastest race lap in the SP7 class in recent years with a time of 8:15.516 minutes.
Alexander Akimenkov and Vasilii Selivanov achieved a podium result for the BLACK FALCON team TMD Friction. The two Russians fought their way up in the Porsche Cayman S (start number 396) from grid position six to third place in class V6. The Porsche 991 Carrera (start number 395) of their team mates Thomas Bolz, Christoph Hoffmann and Uwe Lebens crossed the finish line directly behind the number 396 in fourth place in class V6.
The two BLACK FALCON Mercedes-AMG GT4 lacked the necessary racing-luck for this round. The car number 163 of Stefan Karg, Fidel Leib and Moritz Oberheim headed for the pit lane after the first lap. A stone-chipping in the water cooler made a continuation of the race not reasonable due to the expected repair time of several hours. Alexander Kolb, Axel König and Norbert Schneider's sister car crashed after a strong opening period on the Grand Prix circuit. The driver remained completely unharmed, but the anthracite-coloured AMG GT4 was inconceivable to continue driving in view of the damage to the vehicle.
In only two weeks the fourth round of the VLN Endurance Championship will take place at the Nürburgring. On the first weekend in July, BLACK FALCON will once again start with two Mercedes-AMG and three Porsche vehicles.
