BLACK FALCON enters two Mercedes-AMG in the 24h of COTA

With the main racing season drawing to a close in Europe, Team BLACK FALCON have cast further afield to satisfy their racing passion: across the Atlantic to the new-for-2017 24H COTA USA endurance marathon. This sees the debut race in the United States for the Creventic organisation behind the 24H Series, adding to the other blue riband events on the continent such as Daytona and Sebring. There’s no tougher environment than a 24-hour race, and the Circuit Of The Americas provides the perfect layout to stretch the teams further. The blind crest of turn one leads through a complex snake of ultra-fast lefts and rights before hitting the kilometre-long, flat-out back straight; the triple-apex of turns 16-18 towards the end of the lap will push traction to the limit. The race will be staged in two parts, with a 14-hour opening segment on the Saturday completed by the final 10-hour run to the flag on the Sunday, the starting positions for Sunday reflecting the results from the previous day’s running.
Team BLACK FALCON are taking a pair of Mercedes across The Pond, one of their Mercedes-AMG GT3s being accompanied by its not-so-little sister, the Mercedes-AMG GT4. In the hotly-contested GT3 class, the #3 GT3 will be driven by the stellar crew of Abdulaziz Al Faisal (Saudi Arabia), Ben Keating (United States Of America), Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) and Luca Stolz (Germany). The #2 Mercedes-AMG Test Team Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT4 features the multinational line-up of Mustafa Mehmet Kaya (Turkey), Saud Al Faisal (Saudi Arabia), Ryan Ratcliffe (United Kingdom), Gabrielle Piana (Italy) and Thomas Jäger (Germany). Ryan joins the team for his debut in the GT4, while the other quartet are all veteran drivers for the team in the Nürburgring-based VLN championship.
Cars and drivers alike will be tested to the limit at the Circuit Of The Americas – which is just how Team BLACK FALCON like it. Live timing and video coverage will be available at 24hseries.com, and you can support Team BLACK FALCON across all social media platforms: follow the team via twitter.com/TeamBlackFalcon, facebook.com/teamblackfalcon/ and instagram.com/teamblackfalcon to get live action updates direct from the tracks, as well as fantastic images of the team in action.
