The 51st edition of the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring delivered a real emotional roller coaster for BLACK FALCON. After a strong performance in qualifying, the team from Meuspath was well prepared for the 24h. However, an accident in the warm-up ended the weekend of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #170 even before the start of the race. The Porsche Cayman GT4 CS (#189) crashed in the early stages of the race. After an outstanding performance by the team, which repaired the Cayman twice in record-breaking time, the GT4 crossed the finish line without further incident.

BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA: Accident prevents race start
The Porsche 992 GT3 Cup with the starting number 170 started for BLACK FALCON Team IDENTICA at the 51st ADAC 24h-Race Nürburgring. Mustafa Mehmet Kaya, Gabriele Piana, Carlos Rivas and Mike Stursberg started the weekend with strong pace and qualified the 911 in third place and first within the AM classification of the CUP2 class. However, in a relatively harmless accident in the warm-up on Saturday lunchtime, the car's chassis was so unfortunately damaged that it was impossible to repair it on site.

BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR: Multiple repairs rewarded with sixth place
The Porsche Cayman GT4 CS (#189) of Franz Engstler, Cabell Fisher, Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld started for BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR. In qualifying, the quartet set the fourth fastest time. In front of a record-breaking crowd, the GT4 started well into the race before a collision with a competitor damaged the left radiator. After a short repair break, the Cayman went back on track. In the early evening hours, the #189 crashed again, this time much more violently in the high-speed section Flugplatz. The mechanics repaired the heavily damaged vehicle in less than two hours and sent the Cayman back on track to the applause of the neighboring teams. From this point on, the rest of the race proceeded without incident. From last place in the field, the TEXTAR Cayman still gained a full 60 places overall and four positions in class over the course of the race. After 24 hours, the #189 crossed the finish line in 69th place overall and sixth in class.

Alexander Böhm, Team Principal and Managing Director BLACK FALCON:
"The 24h race was unfortunately not under a good star for us from a sporting point of view, we clearly missed our targets. Losing the 992 GT3 Cup already in the warm-up was a shock, despite the comparatively light contact with the guardrail, the front frame was broken in such an unfortunate place that a repair would have taken more than 20 hours.
My thanks go to our outstanding team. Whether in the pits, at tire service, or in hospitality, everyone gave their best and made the 24-hour event the highlight of the year for our drivers, partners, and guests. We'll definitely make up for the podium finishes we were aiming for next year!"
