BLACK FALCON scores strong results at the Red Bull Ring

BLACK FALCON Porsche 992 GT3 Cup

BLACK FALCON celebrated numerous achievements at the second race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and the ADAC GT4 Germany at the Red Bull Ring. In the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, the team from Meuspath scored a pole position and a podium finish overall, as well as a one-two and a podium finish in the ProAm classification. In the ADAC GT4 Germany, the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR finished on the podium in the Trophy classification on Saturday.

Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland: Race 3 & 4, Red Bull Ring

With a strong performance in qualifying, BLACK FALCON junior driver Loek Hartog kicked off an extremely successful weekend. The Dutchman, who is just 19 years old, set the fastest time of the qualifying session and put his Porsche 992 GT3 Cup on pole position - the first in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland for BLACK FALCON since the 2017 season. Hartog then delivered a focused and flawless race, eventually crossing the finish line in an excellent third place overall. On Sunday, he started the race from 13th place after his second fastest lap, which would have been enough for the second pole position of the weekend, was cancelled due to a track limit violation. In the hunt for points, Hartog drove a terrific race and fought his way up to sixth place.

Carlos Rivas (#6) also started strongly into the second race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. The reigning ProAm champion was fastest twice in qualifying. In the first race, Rivas was involved in a collision in a tricky situation in the starting phase, which dropped him to the back of the field. The Luxembourger then demonstrated great morale and fought his way back through the field as the race progressed. He finished the race on the podium and was third in the ProAm. On Sunday, Rivas celebrated his third win of the season after a flawless performance.

Teammate Sören Spreng (#5) got off to a great start to the weekend at the Red Bull Ring. The ProAm driver from Hemer set the fastest time of all ProAm drivers in free practice. In qualifying, he confirmed the strong performance of the previous day and twice set the second-fastest time in the ProAm standings. In the third race of the season on Saturday afternoon, Spreng crossed the finish line in fourth place after thrilling duels. In the second race of the weekend, he put in a very strong performance, finishing second to give BLACK FALCON the first ProAm one-two in team history.

The next race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will take place in Imola from 17 to 19 June.

ADAC GT4 Germany: Race 3 & 4, Red Bull Ring
The ADAC GT4 Germany also visited the Red Bull Ring last weekend. Axel Sartingen and Daniel Schwerfeld started for the BLACK FALCON Team TEXTAR with the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS (#33). The duo experienced a weekend with ups and downs. On Saturday, Sartingen and Schwerfeld drove a flawless race and secured important championship points and a visit to the podium by finishing third in the Trophy standings. On Sunday morning, Schwerfeld initially ensured a perfect starting position for the second race in the second qualifying session. As the fastest driver in the Trophy classification, he left several cars outside the class behind him and thus started the race with a comfortable cushion of several cars between himself and the class rivals. However, he was involved in a collision at the start and eventually had to retire the Cayman early.

The next ADAC GT4 Germany race weekend will be held at Zandvoort from June 24 to 26.
