From 2016: The Porsche Sports Cup with Black Falcon
In addition to endurance racing, Black Falcon will offer its customers the participation in the Porsche Sports Cup in the 2016 season for the first time. The attractive customer sport series, organised by Porsche, includes six attractive events on GP tracks in Germany and neighbouring countries, as well as an invitation race in the context of the WEC at the Nürburgring.
The program on the race weekend is also particularly attractive: After a day of testing on Friday for all participants, the competitions take place on Saturday and Sunday:
1. The "PZ Trophy" and the "PZ Drivers Cup" are regularity rallies for motorsports newcomers with a total of about 90 minutes driving time on Saturday and Sunday.
2. The "Porsche Sports Cup" is a true race series with free practice, qualifying and two races, which, however, are carried out using Porsche vehicles approved for road usage. This is where Black Falcon provides the models 991 GT3 and the new GT3 RS, equipped with semi-slicks. Total driving time: 120 minutes.
3. In the "Porsche Super Sports Cup" both road-approved vehicles as well as real racing cars are used in the same format and total driving time (120 minutes). Here Black Falcon provides its drivers with the proven Porsche 991 GT3 Cup as well as the brand new Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which will be raced in its own class.
4. The "Porsche Sports Cup Endurance” is aimed at drivers who wish to experience the challenge of a long-distance race on a Grand Prix circuit and spend a lot of time in the vehicle. A total of almost three and a half hours driving time are available on Saturday and Sunday, the highlight being two 50-minute races, which can be driven either alone or with two drivers. Only pure racing cars like the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup and the new Cayman GT4 Clubsport are permitted.
“It is important to us to provide an event on GP tracks in our programme for our Porsche customers in addition to the VLN,” explains Black Falcon Driver Advisor Manuel Metzger.
“The Porsche Sports Cup provides the perfect platform for beginners as well as long-time racing amateurs to go about their sport in club sport or racing vehicles provided by Black Falcon. The wide range of vehicles together with the high level of safety of the modern GP tracks provides Black Falcon drivers with a perfect complement to the existing race calendar.“
